Diba Chowdhury
MSc Research Student, Former Fourth-Year Thesis Student
Diba Chowdhury is an MSc student studying the role of the Unfolded Protein Response (UPR) pathway on trophoblast differentiation. She started her research, as a fourth year thesis student, under the co-supervision of Dr. Renaud and Dr. Lajoie. After completing her BMSc in Medical Cell Biology at Western University, she continued working in the Renaud lab as a Pre-Graduate Summer Research Student. Overall, her research aims to elucidate how endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress and UPR activation can contribute to the pathogenesis of preeclampsia.
