I completed my PhD in the Renaud lab in Spring 2022. My work focuses on the contributions of the maternal immune system during early placentation during both healthy and immune challenged pregnancies. This work provides clear evidence that the uterine environment can affect both placental formation and fetal development which can contribute to long term complications and morbidities for both the mother and her offspring.
