Ruth Thomas
Post-Graduate Research Assistant, Former MSc Clinical Anatomy Student
Ruth is a recent graduate of the MSc. Clinical Anatomy program at Western and is currently working as a post-graduate research assistant in the Renaud lab. Prior to starting her Master’s, she completed her Bachelor’s in the Life Science program at the University of Toronto with a specialization in Biology. Her current research interests include studying the effects of maternal immune activation on placental and neurodevelopmental outcomes, following exposure to an immune stimulus. Understanding the effects of immune challenges on fetal neurodevelopment could provide insight into placental and brain abnormalities during pregnancy and behavioural deficiencies after birth.
